Norwest Private Hospital

Information

Norwest Private Hospital is a new private hospital developed on a green field site.  It is a 171-bed acute hospital and day surgery with ten operating theatres, recovery areas and a range of specialist patient care facilities. It includes an accident and emergency department; an intensive care unit; a cardiac and coronary care unit and a maternity ward with associated birthing suites.

A key part of the project was 8,000m2 of strata medical suites over three levels including space for pathology, pharmacy, physiotherapy and medical imaging. The basement accommodates most of the 690 car parking spaces.

An outstanding aspect of this project was the teamwork and cooperation demonstrated in the design and construct team.  The excellent relationship developed with the client grew from our successful completion of the Campbelltown Private Hospital in 2007.  Healthscope, also the operator at Campbelltown, commissioned us to undertake major additional fitout works to this hospital.  This was completed with acclaim in 2009.

The Norwest project was completed five weeks ahead of the original program.
