Leichhardt Bus Depot

Information

Construction of a large bus storage and maintenance facility, designed to increase efficiency in the client’s operations.

Scope of works included a new three-storey office building, two maintenance workshops, bus washing facilities and an LPG & diesel refuelling facility.

Extensive civil works included concrete hardstand paving to accommodate 220 STA buses and public roadway connections. A highly visible feature of the project is the 300m long x 8m high acoustic barrier constructed from precast concrete panels with a corrugated, patterned finish.

Early, detailed planning allowed our team to overcome the many project constraints and challenges including:

Works were undertaken in and around a fully functioning bus depot, operating 365 days a year.
