Information

Design and construction of a 4-storey commuter car park providing approx. 1,000 additional car spaces. Includes feature façade, 2 lifts, increased floor height on ground floor for future retail conversion, HV kiosk, metal deck roof with solar panels, electric vehicle charging and provisions for boom gates.

The car park was designed and built with innovative sustainable features to reduce embodied carbon emissions and adapt to climate change. The features included:

  • An average 37% recycled concrete mix material and reinforced steel with an estimated 65% to 80% of recycled scrap was used in the build
  • Installation of rooftop solar that provides power for the building and sun protection for commuters and parked cars
  • A rainwater capture system which helps reduce localised flooding, filters impurities from runoff and assists in watering the new landscaping
  • An innovative and efficient ramp design which fits more car spaces on each floor
