Greg D’Arcy

45+ Years With AWE

Greg began his career at A W Edwards in 1979 as a first-year cadet, quickly distinguishing himself with his outstanding talent and dedication. Rising through the ranks, he served as Director from 2010 before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2018. In 2024, Greg transitioned to the role of Chairman.

With over 45 years of experience in the construction industry, Greg has successfully led numerous high-profile projects, contributing significantly to the company’s growth and strengthening its reputation for excellence. His leadership has fostered our unique company culture that empowers its people and prioritises uncompromising service and performance.

Justin Smith

15+ Years With AWE

Justin joined A W Edwards in 2009 and was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in 2023. In July 2024, he became Chief Executive Officer.

Over his 15 years with the company, Justin has spearheaded major data centre projects and played a key role in expanding our presence and success in the Data Centre sector.

As CEO, Justin is responsible for establishing and conveying a clear vision for the company, as well as leading strategic business development. This encompasses a commitment to safety, sustainability, quality, and developing a diverse and equitable team.

Georgia Coulston

5+ Years With AWE

Georgia joined A W Edwards in 2019 and held the role of Senior Financial Controller before transitioning into the CFO role in March 2021.

With over 16 years of experience across a range of industries including rail, manufacturing, construction and engineering, Georgia is an operational and commercial focused business partner, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and develop strategic partnerships at all levels of an organisation.

As a Chartered Accountant, Georgia is a collaborative, results driven leader with a proven track record for delivering efficiency and continuous improvements that extend beyond the numbers.

Colin Danby

18+ Years With AWE

Colin joined A W Edwards in 2006, steadily advancing through the commercial industry to the position of Project Director gaining extensive experience working on a diverse range of projects.

In 2023, Colin was promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer and in July 2024, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer.

With his vast operational experience across multiple sectors, Colin brings invaluable knowledge and leadership to our team. As COO, his expertise will be pivotal in driving excellence and innovation across all facets of our operations. Colin is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety and delivering exceptional value to our clients through innovative construction practices and outstanding project execution.

Kate Terry

6+ Years with AWE

Kate was made an Executive Director of A W Edwards in 2023. As Director of the Australian Legal Desk she is responsible for all legal service, governance, ethics and compliance across Bouygues operations in Australia.

With comprehensive industry knowledge, Kate is a highly skilled projects lawyer with more nearly 21 years’ experience, in private practice and in-house of major infrastructure, mining and energy projects, Kate has advised investors, owners, contractors and operators in Australia, Asia, South America, Africa and the UK across a range of sectors.

Kate employs a collaborative and consultative style of leadership and aims to deliver simple and user friendly commercial solutions to enable the A W Edwards business to flourish sustainably.

Kenny Smith

18+ Years With AWE

Kenny is responsible for the successful implementation of AWE’s corporate WHS management systems and is responsible for the development of a risk-based, values-driven approach to WHS management, leading and establishing the necessary conditions to drive safe and sustainable practices, culture and mindset. 

Kenny’s role also includes leading and supporting the Company’s enterprise bargaining and organisational consultation processes for Workplace Relations.

Additionally, Kenny is the WHS Lead for Bouygues Batiment International in the Asia Pacific region.

Kenny has been a member of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety for over 16 years, and has been certified as a Generalist OHS Practitioner.

Richard Piper

10+ Years With AWE

Richard joined A W Edwards in 2014 and was appointed as an Executive Director in 2019. With over 25 years industry experience and he has been involved in the cost planning of projects ranging from $5m to $500m. 

Richard has exceptional leadership and management experience, leading our Procurement Team whilst developing and implementing estimating tools and business practices that standardises estimating services across our organisation.

Richard leads our sustainability team, providing technical guidance and strategic insights, pioneering sustainability technologies, and acting as a advocate, championing and implementing strategies based on sustainability principles and goals. He ensures that AWE’s operations align with environmentally responsible and sustainable practices.

Rima Militano

3+ Years With AWE

Rima joined A W Edwards in 2021 and was appointed as an Executive Director and HR Director in 2024. With over 24 years of industry experience and a deep understanding of the construction sector, she brings invaluable expertise in her role.

As the HR Director, Rima is responsible for developing and implementing a wide range of policies and programs, encompassing recruitment, employee engagement, training, and talent development. She is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive workplace culture and champions continuous learning and development. Rima firmly believes in maintaining our commitment to our most valued asset – our people.
