Bruce Edwards

48+ Years With AWE

Bruce joined A W Edwards in 1976 and held the role of Managing Director from 1999 to 2018. After the acquisition, Bouygues appointed Bruce as Honorary Chairman of our Executive Committee.

Bruce will use his experience and his standing in the Construction Industry to advise and assist in maintaining the company’s continued commitment to ensuring the highest standards on safety, ethics and core values are at the heart of everything we do. 

Respected and admired by his peers, in 2011 a poll conducted by BRW Magazine A W Edwards was voted ‘The Most Respected Construction Company’ in the industry. This is testament to Bruce’s leadership skills.

Greg D’Arcy

45+ Years With AWE

Greg joined A W Edwards in 1979 and held the role of Director from 2010 to 2018. In 2018 Greg was appointed as CEO of the company.

Greg has been instrumental in the successful delivery of the company’s most challenging and technically complex projects. These include the Concourse at Chatswood and the Wollongong Private Hospital.

A respected leader, Greg is responsible for creating and communicating a clear vision for the company and its strategic business development. Greg has been responsible for creating a company culture that empowers the talent of our people and thrives on achieving uncompromising service levels and performance.

Georgia Coulston

5+ Years With AWE

Georgia joined A W Edwards in 2019 and held the role of Senior Financial Controller before transitioning into the CFO role in March 2021.

With over 16 years of experience across a range of industries including rail, manufacturing, construction and engineering, Georgia is an operational and commercial focused business partner, with a strong ability to communicate effectively and develop strategic partnerships at all levels of an organisation.

As a Chartered Accountant, Georgia is a collaborative, results driven leader with a proven track record for delivering efficiency and continuous improvements that extend beyond the numbers.

Colin Danby

18+ Years With AWE

Colin first joined the industry in 1997 as an apprentice carpenter and joiner. He has worked his way up through the commercial industry to Project Director, gaining valuable experience in a diverse range of projects both here and overseas. In February 2023 he was made Deputy Chief Executive Officer. 

Colin has strong credentials in strategy, operational excellence and large-scale project delivery. He has had key roles leading a broad range of projects for public and private sector clients. 

Specialised in large scale projects, Colin has an excellent track record in the delivery of challenging design and construct and live environment works. His current role is Project Director on the Crows Nest Station for Sydney Metro City & Southwest.

Justin Smith

15+ Years With AWE

Justin joined A W Edwards in 2009 and was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in February 2023. Justin brings 21 years’ construction industry experience across a diverse range of sectors involving numerous large-scale projects. 

Justin has specialist experience in the delivery of complex projects where the predominant component is technology and engineering services related. His current role is Project Director for several large-scale Data Centres in Sydney.

As company HR Director, Justin develops and implements policies and programs including recruitment, employer engagement, training and talent development.

Kate Terry

6+ Years with AWE

Kate was made an Executive Director of A W Edwards in 2023. As Director of the Australian Legal Desk she is responsible for all legal service, governance, ethics and compliance across Bouygues operations in Australia.

With comprehensive industry knowledge, Kate is a highly skilled projects lawyer with more nearly 21 years’ experience, in private practice and in-house of major infrastructure, mining and energy projects, Kate has advised investors, owners, contractors and operators in Australia, Asia, South America, Africa and the UK across a range of sectors.

Kate employs a collaborative and consultative style of leadership and aims to deliver simple and user friendly commercial solutions to enable the A W Edwards business to flourish sustainably.

Michael Musarra

35+ Years With AWE

Michael joined A W Edwards in1989 and held the position of Associate Director from 2011 to 2018. In July 2018 he was appointed as an Executive Director.

Michael has extensive experience in the delivery of major health facilities, including projects involving Design & Construct responsibility and projects involving Early Contractor Involvement and extensive value engineering processes. 

As company Quality and Environment Director, Michael oversees the company’s corporate QE management systems and policies. He drives the continuous improvement in the areas of Quality and Environment by setting goals and identifying key performance indicators in this area of the business.

Richard Piper

10+ Years With AWE

Richard joined A W Edwards in 2014 and was appointed as an Executive Director in 2019. With over 25 years industry experience and he has been involved in the cost planning of projects ranging from $5m to $500m. 

Richard has exceptional leadership and management experience, leading our Procurement Team whilst developing and implementing estimating tools and business practices that standardises estimating services across our organisation.

Richard leads our sustainability team, providing technical guidance and strategic insights, pioneering sustainability technologies, and acting as a visionary advocate, championing and implementing strategies based on sustainability principles and goals. He ensures that AWE’s operations align with environmentally responsible and sustainable practices.

Kenny Smith

18+ Years With AWE

Kenny is responsible for the successful implementation of AWE’s corporate WHS management systems and is responsible for the development of a risk-based, values-driven approach to WHS management, leading and establishing the necessary conditions to drive safe and sustainable practices, culture and mindset. 

Kenny’s role also includes leading and supporting the Company’s enterprise bargaining and organisational consultation processes for Workplace Relations.

Additionally, Kenny is the WHS Lead for Bouygues Batiment International in the Asia Pacific region.

Kenny has been a member of the Australian Institute of Health & Safety for over 16 years, and has been certified as a Generalist OHS Practitioner.
