The Concourse at Chatswood

The design and construction of a 1,000 seat
concert hall, 500 seat theatre, 500m² civic
pavilion and studio. The project also included
delivery of a 5,000m² library, retail spaces,
restaurants and cafés, an underground 400
space car park and extensive landscaping.

Technically complex with a high level of
detailing, every element had to meet the
functional, acoustic, aesthetic and performance
requirements, unique to the building’s design
characteristics.

Ranging from the iconic facade ribbons of metal
composite, the glazed curtain wall systems and
sandstone blocks featured on the podium to
the meticulously crafted acoustic timber lined
walls of the performance venues this project
was benchmarked, both in terms of budget and
quality.
